Starting in Bodrum, Marmaris and Göcek or Fethiye
The most popular starting port for a blue voyage is Bodrum. Thanks to the nearby airport, you are already on the boat 30 minutes after arrival. There, you will be welcomed by the captain (Turkish: Kaptan) and his men with a friendly smile and be showed where you will be living the next days: in the ship's interior, in one of the yachts of all sizes with large and friendly cabins.
Bodrum was called in ancient Greece Halicarnassus, one of the most colorful places on the coast. White houses beneath the ancient theater round the port. Over all, wakes the castle of St. Peter, built by the Crusaders from the remains of one of the Seven World Wonder; the Mausoleum.
It gets started to get crowded primarily between the northern port and the Southern Bay after midnight. People looking for the special kick fill the bars and discos that are open until the early morning hours. Bodrum is the St. Tropez of Turkey. Bodrum is also the location for the high class in Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara.
Since the music is sometimes loud, the travelers in the Gulet are grateful when in the early next morning, the anchor chain clatters and the journey begins.
The second most important port for a blue voyage is Marmaris. Like a mountain lake, the city is being surrounded by pine forests, protected by high mountains. At sea, there is a narrow passage shielded through the islands.
Unlike Bodrum, Marmaris took no decisions for the development of growing buildings . The results are massive hotel complexes and multi houses in all styles. The Netsel-Marina is the largest yacht port on the coast. Here are especially sailboats stationed of all sizes for bareboat-skipper. The Gulets are located in the sunny wharf, which is around the Old City.
The transfer from the Dalaman Airport to the boat takes approximately one and a half hours. Once you are on board, you can directly enter the happy and positive night life of the city. From Marmaris on, wonderful tours are arranged to the north west towards the Gulf of Gökova or to the south-west towards the Gulf of Fethiye.
Third starting option for the blue voyage is the Gulf of Fethiye. Some of the ships are anchored in Gocek, and the others are stationed in Fethiye. From the airport Göcek is only half an hour away; to Fethiye you need about one hour.
Gocek was a sleepy fishing nest just a few years ago. Meanwhile, a prince kissed the sleeping beauty-so a beautiful small harbor bloom. Two luxurious-marinas offer secure protection and good service (Club Marina and Port Marina). The Turkish High Society meets here in hidden and with high prices.
Our Gulets are in the port of the community directly by the city, which has the great advantage that after only a few steps, in the middle of events. Göcek has the charm of the small tourist village without the large hotel complexes.
Fethiye is enchanted by the location hidden behind the offshore islands. The city fits to the surrounding of a colorful bay. In the background, the mountains rise up. The near alluvial land grants the oriental town market with rich vegetables and fruit offerings.
Downtown jostle small restaurants, bars, carpet, leather and antiques shops. Famous are the Lycian temple tombs in the ocher wall over the city and the scattered sarcophagi in the streets and gardens with its massive stone lids. From the rock tomb of Amyntas one has a fantastic view of the port, the ships and the sea to Çalis, the beach house of Fethiye.
The area southeast of Fethiye will no longer be offered because the ships were not meeting our quality demands.
