It Began in 1978. The farmer Ian of Stevens could not believe his eyes, when he wanted to catch up his harvest with harvester: a circle accurately pressed into the cornfield. He had not never seen such a thing before. Still in the same year further people reported from the pressured grain to. Authorities began to look for reasons.

With a newspaper article in the Wiltshire Times 1980 then the grain circles were made public for the first time. The newspaper article called also UFO research groups on the plan.

After it was made public by the UFO-scene that there was a connection between aliens - the ufologists interpreted the circles e.g as UFO-landiings - a continuos development started. Corn-circles and UFOs, according to many specialists belong together, in a way in which it can be interpreted as national-signs or messages to mankind.

Now, also in Turkey, more exactly at the turkish coast before Bodrum, a circle was discovered. However not in grain. A circle was discovered in the sea just before the castle of Bodrum. The causers are not aliens, but he organizers of the Gulet Regatta 2005 (Bodrum Cup), who created a circle on the computer in order to have significant motive-picture for the most important meeting around all the turkish Gulet ships.

More than 50 ships, all at least 18 m over deck, were driven to form a circle beside the Cross-Knight Castle St.Peter in the sea. In the center the Gulet school ship was located, the 3-masted ketch BODRUM. The ship was anchored with three anchors in three directions. Then it became exciting, it took several hours that the other Gulets anchored and arranged as a circle around the school ship.

Our Congratulations for this successful action of the turkish sailors goes to the organizers, captains and sailors, who finished this marvelous picture. The circles succeeded conquering the sea as well.
